Being a member of the Hellenic Film Academy is more than an honorary distinction. As a member, you take an active role in shaping an institution that advocates for, represents, and promotes Greek cinema in Greece and abroad.

The Academy actively supports Greek film production, brings together professionals from across the audiovisual sector, and strengthens the voice of its community. Each new member contributes to this collective effort through their experience, unique perspective, and commitment to a shared vision.

How to become a member

  • 1. Get to know the Academy.

    Read the Academy’s statutes to understand its principles and how it operates, and to check whether you meet the membership criteria.
  • 2. Find two HFA members to recommend you.

    Ask two active full members of the HFA to endorse your application.
  • 3. Complete the application.

    Download and fill out the membership form, explicitly confirming your acceptance of the Academy’s statutes and rules of procedure.
  • 4. Submit your application.

    Send your application to info@hellenicfilmacademy.gr along with a detailed CV and filmography.
  • 5. Finalize your membership.

    Once your application has been approved by the Board of Directors, you will be asked to pay a one-time registration fee of €20 and an annual membership fee of €50.
