Open Discussion on Selective Funding
A few days before the Iris Awards 2025 ceremony, and in the context of the screening programme of the nominated films, the Hellenic Film Academy organized an open discussion at the Greek Film Archive, focusing on the importance of selective funding in the development of the film industry.
Invited speakers included Dyveke Bjørkly Graver, producer of The Worst Person in the World; Matīss Kaža, producer of Flow; and Konstantinos Kontovrakis, producer of How to Have Sex.
The discussion, moderated by Vicky Micha, highlighted the central role of selective funding programmes in shaping a national film strategy, in the creation and promotion of contemporary culture, and in the practice of international cultural diplomacy.
