As part of its initiatives to support domestic film production and attract international productions to Greece, in 2014 the Hellenic Film Academy, in collaboration with the Onassis Foundation, commissioned the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE) to conduct a landmark study. Titled “Film Production in Greece: Impacts on the Economy,” it was the first study of its kind ever carried out in the country.
