Special screening: Electra7 — a cinematic relay by 7 filmmakers. 

On Wednesday, November 7 2025, a special screening of the film Electra7 was hosted at the Thessaloniki Film Festival. The film is a collaboration between the Athens Epidaurus Festival and the Hellenic Film Academy, realised with the kind sponsorship of DEI / PPC (Public Power Corporation).

The event opened with a brief presentation of the project, followed by a Q&A session after the screening with the seven distinguished filmmakers who directed the film—Alexandros Voulgaris, Sofia Exarchou, Neritan Zintziria, Christina Ioakeimidou, Babis Makridis, Argyris Papadimitropoulos, and Elina Psykou. The filmmakers shared with the audience their experiences of this original collaboration, as well as their individual approaches to the film.

Giorgos Zois’ ARCADIA Named Greece’s Official Oscar Submission

Arcadia, directed by Giorgos Zois, is Greece’s official submission for the Academy Award® for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The film, which IN 2025 received the Iris Awards for Best Feature Fiction Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay, continues its journey by representing Greece at one of the most prestigious institutions of world cinema.

According to the Ministry of Culture, the film is a fully accomplished work with a distinct artistic identity, representing contemporary Greek cinema, and has already gained international visibility through its participation in major international film festivals.
